We have just spent a wonderfully entertaining evening with Ian Kennedy, telling us anecdotes about his life and singing, playing and teaching career. His main message to us was to find our own voice – not to try to copy someone else! How can we do that? Through lots of practice, lots of good breathing, good use of the diaphragm and opening of the throat. All things that we have been told by Margaret throughout our time with Caritas, but we are all looking forward to singing together and finding our collective voices again. Let’s hope it’s not too far away!
